BigRep IPSO 105 — Technical data

The BigRep IPSO 105 is the smaller of the two high-temperature printers BigRep presented in May 2024. The 400 × 600 × 440 mm build chamber is heated to up to 100 °C, the print bed to 140 °C. Two water-cooled DSX extruders with diamond nozzles reach 450 °C and process PEKK-A and PA12 CF as well as ABS, ASA and PC. A dry chamber for two spools, HEPA and activated carbon filters, and stepper motors with encoders are part of the equipment. The IPSO 105 is aimed at users printing high-performance plastics in medium part sizes, for example aircraft interior parts, fixtures and tools, without installing a system the size of the ALTRA 280.

When buying used, print hours at high temperatures are the key criterion: heating cartridges, chamber insulation, water cooling and diamond nozzles should be free of defects. PEKK needs a reliable drying concept – if no DRYCON or equivalent dryer is included, budget for one. A single-phase 16 A supply and around 400 kg make installation comparatively simple. Check warranty and software licences with the manufacturer.
