BCN3D Sigmax R19 — Technical data

The BCN3D Sigmax is the wide sibling of the Sigma: the same IDEX technology with two independent print heads, but a build volume twice as wide at 420 × 297 × 210 mm. Larger single parts fit on the plate, and in duplication or mirror mode two medium-sized parts are printed in parallel. The R19 version works with hot ends up to 290 °C, nozzles from 0.3 to 1.0 mm, a heated bed up to 100 °C and 2.85 mm filament; it is controlled via SD card or USB and sliced with BCN3D Cura. The Sigmax was used in design, training and small series, for example for housings, gauges and fixtures. BCN3D no longer offers it; large enclosed formats are now covered by the Epsilon series.

When buying used, a test print in duplication mode is worthwhile because it shows whether both heads are properly calibrated. Due to the wide X axis, check guides and belts carefully, as well as hot ends and the glass plate. Because the frame is open, ABS and nylon warp easily on large parts. BCN3D still partly provides spare parts and printed-part files; clarify availability beforehand.
