BCN3D Sigma D25 — Technical data
The BCN3D Sigma D25 came onto the market in September 2020 as a new model of the Sigma series. With the same footprint as the Epsilon models but no heated chamber, its 420 × 300 × 200 mm offers considerably more print area than the old Sigma. Two independent print heads (IDEX) with hot ends up to 300 °C allow two-material printing with soluble support as well as duplication and mirror mode; the bed reaches 80 °C, which focuses the D25 on PLA, PET-G, TPU and support materials. New were the touchscreen, the connection to BCN3D Cloud via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and the Stratos slicer. BCN3D has since discontinued the D25 and refers to Epsilon and Omega.
For buyers, the D25 is an affordable entry into IDEX, but without a heated chamber and with only an 80 °C bed. Check hot ends, Bowden tubes, belts and the build plate, and whether the BCN3D Cloud account has been released. According to the manufacturer, support remains available; still, ask about spare parts after the takeover by Quantum. A Smart Cabinet is compatible and adds value.
