BCN3D Epsilon W50 — Technical data
The BCN3D Epsilon W50 is the larger model of the enclosed Epsilon series and offers a 420 × 300 × 400 mm build volume, i.e. 50 litres. Like all BCN3D printers it works on the IDEX principle: two independent print heads print with two materials or produce two parts at once in duplication and mirror mode. Hot ends up to 300 °C, a bed up to 120 °C, a passively heated chamber up to 60 °C and HEPA H13 plus activated carbon filters make it suitable for engineering plastics, fibre-filled filaments with the Hotend X and metal filament with the Hotend M. Users include design, tooling and small-series production. The W50 is still available, now as Epsilon G2 and optionally bundled with the Smart Cabinet.
The W50 is common on the used market. Important are year of manufacture or generation, the hot end types supplied, the condition of filters and build plate, and a calibration log. With a tall build volume, Z-axis problems show up more readily – a tall test print is advisable. The BCN3D Cloud account should be released. Metal parts require an external sintering service. After the insolvency and takeover by Quantum in 2025, clarify spare parts and support beforehand.
