Zortrax Inkspire 2 — Technical data
The Inkspire 2 is Zortrax's current LCD resin printer and is considerably larger than the first Inkspire. The 192 × 120 × 280 mm build volume allows several dental or prototype parts per print or larger single parts, while the pixel size stays at 50 µm. Exposure is via an 8.9-inch monochrome LCD with an LED panel at 405 nm; experience shows that monochrome displays last longer than colour ones and allow shorter exposure times. For the workflow, Zortrax has added its own cleaning station and curing station, which are offered separately.
With a used Inkspire 2, check exposure hours and the condition of the LCD, which despite a longer life remains a wear part. Inspect the vat film, build platform and seals for resin residue and scratches. If the printer is offered together with cleaning and curing stations, all three devices should be tested in sequence. Resins and cleaning fluids must be disposed of properly and not taken over unchecked. Reset firmware, network data and the previous owner's print profiles, and repeat calibration before the first job.
