Zortrax Inkspire — Technical data
The Inkspire is Zortrax's first resin printer and works with an LCD mask backlit by 405 nm UV LEDs. Each layer is exposed over the full area, so print time depends on build height and hardly on the number of parts. The 132 × 74 × 175 mm build volume and 50 µm pixels target small, detailed parts such as dental and jewellery models or precision components; layers from 25 to 100 µm can be selected. All resins curing at 405 nm are approved. The successor with a larger build volume is the Inkspire 2.
With a used Inkspire, the LCD is the most important wear part: Zortrax states a service life of around 200 operating hours, depending on the resin. Ask about print hours and replaced displays, and look for dead pixels or stripes. The FEP film of the vat is a consumable and should be clear and undamaged. Check for resin residue in the machine, spilled material under the vat and the condition of the build platform. Washing and post-curing require separate devices. Only accept opened resins included in the sale if their age is known and they were stored away from light.
