ZEISS T-SCAN hawk 2 — Technical data

The T-SCAN hawk 2 is the successor to the T-SCAN hawk and was presented by ZEISS in February 2023. The handheld scanner weighs under 1 kg and works with blue laser crosses for fast scanning and a single blue line for deep pockets. A red laser marker helps keep the working distance. ZEISS states a volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.015 mm/m, tested in an acceptance test based on ISO 10360. New is a satellite mode that captures parts over one metre without coded markers. The lasers are class 2, and the cable is 10 m long.

According to ZEISS, the scope of supply includes a case with calibration panels, a hyperscale for quick recalibration, a power delivery hub and DAkkS-calibrated length and coordinate standards. These parts should be complete and the calibration certificates as recent as possible. ZEISS INSPECT requires a licence; confirm in writing with ZEISS whether licence and any running maintenance contract pass to the buyer. Check laser windows, buttons and cable for wear and ask for a test scan of a reference part. As the model is current, service and spare parts are available from ZEISS.
