ZEISS ScanBox Series 5 — Technical data

In the ZEISS ScanBox Series 5 a robot guides an ATOS sensor around the part, which a rotation table moves. The modular generation presented in 2023 comprises the models 5110, 5120 and 5130 for parts up to Ø 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 mm and up to 2,000 kg. The robot is a FANUC M-20iD/25, the sensor an ATOS 5 or ATOS 5 for Airfoil. The cells need a three-phase supply of 200 to 500 V and, depending on model, are up to 4.3 m long and just over 3 m high. Predecessors under the same name were GOM's ATOS ScanBox 5108 and 5120.

With the Series 5, look at the generation first: cells from before 2023 differ from the modular version in robot, controls and dimensions, so data from the current brochure applies to them only in part. Then have sensor, robot hours, rotation table and guarding documented. Licences for ZEISS INSPECT and the Virtual Measuring Room, existing measuring programs and fixtures determine its usefulness. Dismantling, foundation, transport and recommissioning usually need ZEISS service on site.
