ZEISS ScanBox Series 4 — Technical data

The ScanBox Series 4 is the compact measuring cell in the ZEISS ScanBox range, formerly sold as ATOS ScanBox. The only model, the 4105, is an enclosed cell with a robot in which an ATOS sensor automatically measures parts up to Ø 500 mm and 100 kg. According to the 2023 brochure the cell measures 1,600 × 1,200 × 2,100 mm, weighs around 900 kg and runs on a single-phase supply of 100 to 240 V. ZEISS currently fits the ATOS Q. The Virtual Measuring Room simulates all robot movements in advance.

A used 4105 is a complete installation of cell, robot, rotation table, sensor, control computer and software. Before buying, clarify which sensor is installed; one dealer listing shows a 2023 unit with an ATOS Capsule instead of an ATOS Q. Robot type, operating hours, safety equipment and the inspection report for the guarding belong in the documents. Licences for ZEISS INSPECT and the Virtual Measuring Room, plus existing measuring programs, account for a considerable part of the value. Coordinate dismantling, transport and recommissioning with ZEISS, including recalibration at the new site.
