ZEISS ATOS Triple Scan — Technical data
From 2013 GOM offered new versions under the name ATOS Triple Scan alongside the ATOS II and ATOS III Triple Scan models. The ATOS Triple Scan 12M with two 12-megapixel cameras came first in May 2013, followed in 2015 by the 16M with up to 16 million points per scan. Besides the stereo camera pair, the Triple Scan principle uses each camera individually with the projector, improving measurements on shiny surfaces and in recesses. The measuring field could be adapted from about 38 mm to 2 m. The ATOS 5 followed in 2018 as the fifth generation.
With used Triple Scan sensors, first check the exact version on the rating plate, as resolution and market value depend on it. A system consists of sensor head, sensor controller, cables, lenses and one calibration object per measuring volume; if one of these is missing, that measuring field cannot be used. The software was then called ATOS Professional, now ZEISS INSPECT; clarify with ZEISS whether the licence can be updated and transferred. Also important are the operating hours of the light source, the latest calibration report and a measuring PC that works with the software version.
