ZEISS ATOS Q — Technical data
The ATOS Q is a compact structured light sensor for small to medium-sized parts, presented by GOM in June 2020. Two cameras work on the stereo principle with an LED projector; depending on the version, one scan delivers 8 or 12 million measuring points. Interchangeable lenses change the measuring field from 100 × 70 mm to 500 × 370 mm, while the working distance stays at 490 mm. The sensor weighs around 4 kg and transfers data over a 10 m fibre optic cable. It is used on a tripod, with a rotation table, in the ScanPort or in the ScanBox 4105.
When buying used, first establish which version (8M or 12M) it is and which measuring volumes are included: each lens set has its own calibration object, which should be undamaged and come with its certificate. ZEISS INSPECT requires a licence; confirm in writing with ZEISS beforehand whether licence and dongle, including any maintenance contract, pass to the buyer. Also check the operating hours of the projection unit, the latest calibration report and the condition of the fibre optic cable. The measuring PC needs enough graphics performance, otherwise evaluation slows down.
