ZEISS ATOS II Triple Scan — Technical data
The ATOS II Triple Scan is the smaller sister model of the ATOS III Triple Scan from GOM's range around 2010. Its two cameras have 5 megapixels each, and one scan delivers up to 5 million points. According to the data sheet the measuring field ranges from about 38 mm to 1,500 mm with point spacing of 0.02 to 0.62 mm. According to a post in the ZEISS user forum, the hardware manual lists measuring volumes from MV38 to MV1400, set via lenses and three camera positions. Narrow-band blue light is projected. ZEISS no longer sells the model.
When buying used: a measuring volume can only be used if lens set, camera position and the matching calibration object are all present. According to a forum user, additional volumes can hardly be obtained any more, so the scope of supply is effectively final. The licence for ATOS Professional or GOM Inspect is tied to the dongle, which must be included. Whether newer software versions support the sensor and whether ZEISS still calibrates or repairs it should be clarified before purchase. A complete legacy system may suffice for simple digitising.
