Xact Metal XM200G µHD — Technical data

The XM200G µHD was presented at formnext in November 2025 and is the fine-resolution variant of the XM200G. It works with a 25 µm focus diameter and processes very fine powder of 5–15 µm to enable microstructures, thin walls and fine channels, for instance for medical technology or electronics. At 140 × 140 × 150 mm the build volume is slightly smaller than on the standard machine, the Z extension to 290 mm remains optional, and the fibre laser can be chosen at 100, 200 or 400 W. The manufacturer had announced first deliveries for mid-2026; whether they have taken place was not publicly confirmed as of October 2026.

As a new product, the XM200G µHD will hardly appear on the used market for the time being. If a unit does come up, it is probably a demonstration or pilot machine; then the software level, release of the fine-powder parameters and the warranty status are especially important. Ultra-fine powder places higher demands on occupational safety, sieving and storage, so powder-handling accessories and extraction should be handed over with it.
