Xact Metal XM200G — Technical data

The XM200G has been Xact Metal's core model since 2021 and replaced the XM200C and XM200S. It works with a ytterbium fibre laser of 100, 200 or 400 W, a galvanometer scanner with a positioning speed of around 20 m/s and a build volume of 150 × 150 × 150 mm, which an optional Z extension raises to 290 mm. With a footprint of 650 × 780 × 1,930 mm, around 380 kg and a single-phase connection at 1.5 kW, it is designed for laboratories, training and small production shops; the manufacturer quotes a build rate of about 6–9 cc/h. Data preparation runs through partner software, and parameters for common materials are preloaded and openly adjustable.

As the model is still in production, supply of spare parts and parameters is unproblematic; it still matters whether the machine is registered with the manufacturer and has a service history. Check the laser power on the type plate, laser hours, protective glass, filter cartridges, recoater and seals, and the accessories included. Licences for the partner software are often tied to the first buyer and must be transferred. For reactive materials such as aluminium and titanium, an argon supply is mandatory.

1 · Buy

Matching used machines for this material and build volume.

2 · Let us search

Nothing suitable? We will search for you – or get an e-mail as soon as a matching machine comes in.

3 · Have parts printed

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
