WASP 3MT HDP — Technical data

The WASP 3MT HDP is WASP's large pellet printer and has been in the range since formnext 2021. In a delta frame more than three metres tall, it prints within a cylindrical volume of Ø 1,000 × 1,000 mm. The HDP XL extruder is fed pneumatically from a 20-litre side tank and, with a 5 mm nozzle, delivers up to 3.8 kg of ABS per hour at layers up to 2.5 mm. The patented chamber heating reaches 150 °C, and parts sit on a vacuum plate with interchangeable build plates. Compared with the 3MT Industrial 4.0, filament operation was dropped.

When buying a used 3MT HDP, logistics and installation come first: assembly requires an area of 5.5 × 2.5 m with 3.6 m ceiling height, and the packed machine weighs 670 kg. A compressor with a 100 l receiver and a supply of up to 5 kW are also needed. Check the screw and barrel of the HDP XL extruder for wear, the side tank and its sensor, and the vacuum plate for leaks. The chamber should reach 150 °C without damaging insulation or cables. Ask for print hours and the granules that have been processed.
