UltiMaker S6 — Technical data

Since 2025 the S6 has been the mid-range model of the S series and takes over the role of the S5 with the same 330 × 240 × 300 mm build volume. Technically it shares a lot with the S8: the Cheetah motion planner, high-flow cores up to 340 °C, flood detection on the print head and travel speeds up to 500 mm/s. Unlike the S8, the Air Manager and Material Station are accessories rather than built in. Printing takes place either on a flexible PEI plate or on heated glass up to 120 °C, and an HD camera monitors the job.

As the S6 has only been on sale for a short time, the used market mainly offers demo units and returns. Clarify whether manufacturer warranty still applies, as UltiMaker grants 24 months on the S6, and whether it can be transferred. Also important are the print cores and build plates included, removal from the Digital Factory and an up-to-date firmware. Anyone replacing an S5 can usually keep using its Material Station; confirm compatibility with the dealer first.
