UltiMaker PVA Removal Station — Technical data

The PVA Removal Station is a rinsing unit that dissolves water-soluble support material from printed parts. Parts go into a basket in the 13.7 litre container, and a rotor circulates the tap water at 225 or, for fragile parts, 100 revolutions per minute, reversing direction every two minutes. Depending on the amount, dissolving takes a few hours, and a saturation indicator shows when the water should be changed. It is intended for PVA from the S series, Factor 4 and Method, and RapidRinse from the Method X and XL.

The station has few wear parts; used, the tightness of container and lid and a smoothly running rotor matter most. Look for limescale and PVA sludge residues on the bottom, which indicate infrequent cleaning. The basket should be present and undamaged, as should the power supply. At just over 6 kg empty it is easy to ship, but must be fully drained and dried. Dispose of waste water with dissolved PVA according to local regulations.
