UltiMaker Factor 4 — Technical data

The Factor 4 was UltiMaker's entry into the class of production printers with a heated chamber in 2024 and has since been replaced by the Factor 4 Plus. It uses two direct-drive extruders with swappable print cores, prints in 330 × 240 × 300 mm and actively controls the chamber up to 70 °C. Nozzle temperature depends on the core, from 280 °C with AA up to 340 °C with HT. Six spool bays with NFC recognition keep the filament dry, a HEPA filter and recirculation treat the chamber air, and an emergency stop button immediately halts all axes and heaters.

With a used Factor 4 the core set deserves attention, as HT and CC cores are expensive and decide which materials work without further purchases. Read print hours, filter condition and humidity values of the spool bays from the menu, have the Digital Factory link released and check whether the firmware supports the newer CC+ cores. UltiMaker should supply spare parts for some years, as the Plus and its predecessor share a lot; a service contract may be transferable.
