Tumaker BigFoot 500 Modular — Technical data

The BigFoot 500 Modular is Tumaker's current large-format model and continues the concept of the BigFoot range: an enclosed printer with a 500 × 500 × 500 mm build volume takes one or two interchangeable print heads that process filament, plastic pellets or both. Pellet heads use nozzles up to 5 mm and grain sizes of 3 to 5 mm, filament heads nozzles from 0.15 mm. The heads reach 300 °C, the bed 100 °C. The chamber is filtered, spools up to 8 kg fit, and calibration is automatic.

As the model is new, used units are rare and are usually demo or project machines. The list of supplied print heads and nozzles is important, as it decides whether filament, pellets or both are possible without extra purchases. With pellet operation, check screw and hopper for residues and ask which plastics were processed. Have warranty and software version checked with the manufacturer. At 92 kg and just over a metre along each edge, the machine needs a fixed location and a pallet for transport.
