Trumpf TruPrint 3000 — Technical data

The TruPrint 3000 is TRUMPF's mid-sized industrial format for series parts from metal powder, with a build cylinder 300 mm in diameter and 400 mm high. Build and supply cylinders are exchangeable, so unpacking and sieving take place outside the machine and the next job can start sooner. TRUMPF sells several development stages under the same name: the first version from 2017 used one 500 W laser, and from 2020 the full-field multilaser with two 500 W sources was added. Formnext 2024 brought two 700 W lasers, a cooled build platform and optics with a 200 µm instead of 80 µm spot. The manufacturer states a build rate of 5 to 120 cm³/h.

For used buyers the generation is decisive, as laser count, power and spot size determine productivity and usable parameters, so check year and configuration on the rating plate. Inspect laser hours per source, protective glass and scanner, filter unit and cartridges, the number and condition of exchangeable cylinders as well as seals and recoater. An unpacking station should ideally be included. Ask about powder history, inert gas supply and TruTops Print licences. Clarify in writing beforehand whether TRUMPF provides service and updates for that year of build.
