Trumpf TruPrint 2000 — Technical data

The TruPrint 2000 fills the gap in TRUMPF's range between the compact TruPrint 1000 and the TruPrint 3000 and 5000 production systems. It builds in a cylinder 200 mm in diameter and 200 mm high and exposes with a 300 W fibre laser at a 55 µm spot or, as an option, with two lasers covering the whole field simultaneously. Layer thickness ranges from 20 to 100 µm and the build plate can be preheated to 200 °C. Weighing 3.2 tonnes and running on three-phase power, it is already an industrial machine. It has been on offer since the early 2020s; no different earlier generation is known.

Used machines of this series are comparatively young, but still: have laser hours and equipment documented, above all whether one or two lasers are fitted and which monitoring packages are active. Check protective glass, the filter system with cartridge changes, recoater, build cylinder and oxygen measurement. Powder history matters because titanium or aluminium require thorough cleaning before a material change. Installation needs a crane or forklift, three-phase power and inert gas. Clarify whether TruTops Print licences and parameter sets are transferred and whether TRUMPF offers a service contract.
