Trumpf TruPrint 1000 — Technical data
The TruPrint 1000 is TRUMPF's compact laser melting system for small metal parts and is widely used in dental laboratories, research and small-batch production. The cylindrical build volume is just under 100 mm in diameter and 100 mm high, exposed by a 200 W fibre laser or, as an option, by two lasers covering the full field. TRUMPF has sold the machine under the same name since 2015: the first generation had a 55 µm spot with a 30 µm option and a housing about 1.45 m wide. The current generation is narrower and taller, has motorised optics switching between 55 and 80 µm and an optional multiplate function for up to four substrate plates.
When buying used, first check year of manufacture and generation on the rating plate, as housing, optics and spare parts differ. Key points are laser hours, protective glass and optics, filter cartridge, exchangeable cylinders and recoater. Titanium or aluminium require the glove box and oxygen sensor. Ask about powder history, inert gas supply and transferable TruTops Print licences including dental programmes. Clarify in advance whether TRUMPF will take over service.
