Trumpf Pulversilo — Technical data

The powder silo is the storage and transport container in the powder cycle of TRUMPF's TruPrint series. It holds prepared or fresh metal powder and supplies the sieving station and machines via the vacuum conveyor without powder having to be decanted in the open. TRUMPF offers sizes of 30, 80 and 130 litres. The frame has a footprint of about 600 × 600 mm, is 1.6 m high and can be moved with a standard pallet truck; filled, it may weigh up to 800 kg. The pneumatics need compressed air at 6 bar. It is usually traded together with a sieving station or machine.

With a used silo, cleanliness matters more than technology. Get confirmation of which materials were stored in it and plan thorough cleaning for any change; ideally a silo stays assigned to one powder permanently. Check container wall, lid and valve seals, the connections for the vacuum conveyor as well as earthing and labelling. The size should match the powder demand of your own build jobs. If powder is sold with it, batch, age and storage conditions belong in the documents.
