Stratasys Origin One — Technical data

The Origin One was the first printer of the Origin family and uses the P3 process. A 4K projector cures resin at 385 nm, assisted by thermal energy, and the build volume is 192 × 108 × 370 mm. The concept targets accurate end-use parts from high-performance resins by material partners – elastomers, heat-resistant, tough and medical photopolymers. At 81 kg and about 0.5 × 0.5 m footprint it fits a workshop or lab. It has since been replaced by the Origin Two; the Origin One+ kit can upgrade an existing Origin One.

When buying a used Origin One, check projector condition and exposure hours as well as vats, films and build platform. It matters whether the One+ upgrade is already fitted, since it covers projector, build arm and platform and improves accuracy. Also consider access to the software and cloud connection, which must be transferred with the unit, and which partner resins are still validated for the model. A post-curing station is part of the process and should be included or budgeted.
