Stratasys Neo450s — Technical data
The Neo450s is the smaller system in Stratasys' Neo stereolithography line. A 2 W solid-state laser at 355 nm cures parts up to 450 × 450 × 400 mm; the vat comes in three heights (50, 200 or 400 mm), which changes the resin needed from about 38 to 141 litres. The spot can be varied between 80 and 750 µm, so fine contours and fast hatching are possible in the same job. The resin system is open and the machine is driven by Titanium software. It is aimed at model shops and development departments that need large, smooth resin parts in small numbers. Above it sit the Neo800 and Neo800+ with 800 × 800 × 600 mm.
For a used Neo450s, the key points are laser hours and remaining source power, the condition of vat, recoater and optics, and the age of the resin in the vat. Since the vat may be sold filled, resin type, quantity and storage history should be documented. Also check the Titanium licence, software version, UPS and the required room climate of 20–23 °C.
