Stratasys Fortus 360mc — Technical data
The Fortus 360mc was launched in 2008 as the FDM 360mc, intended as a lower-cost sibling of the 400mc with the same accuracy but less speed and fewer features. As standard it builds 355 × 254 × 254 mm, with an upgrade 406 × 355 × 406 mm, which adds two more canister bays. Four layer heights down to 0.127 mm are available. Over the years the material range extended from ABS-M30 to PC, PC-ABS and high-temperature materials, though Stratasys support lists the 360mc and 400mc together. The current catalogue lists the Fortus 450mc in this class.
When buying a used 360mc, first establish which build envelope is installed and which materials are actually enabled, as usefulness depends heavily on it. Then check head and chamber condition, operating hours, gantry and platform calibration. It needs 230 V at 20 A. For a long-discontinued system, spare parts and canisters are the main risk; Insight may also only run on older Windows versions, which affects network and IT security.
