Stratasys Fortus 250mc — Technical data

The Fortus 250mc was the entry model of the Fortus range; build volume, external dimensions and weight match the Dimension 1200es, but it runs the Fortus software Insight and Control Center. It prints ABSplus in ten colours with soluble SR-30 support; the build volume is 254 × 254 × 305 mm, with three layer heights from 0.178 to 0.330 mm. At 148 kg and with a standard single-phase supply it fits design offices and training workshops. Compared with the larger Fortus models it lacks materials beyond ABS. Stratasys only supports the 250mc as a legacy printer.

Used 250mc units are usually inexpensive and robust, but materials are the central issue: ABSplus P430 cartridges and SR-30 must remain available. Check print head and tips, build platform, chamber heating and operating hours. Support removal needs a wash station, which is not always included. It also matters that Insight runs on a current PC and the licence can be transferred.
