Stratasys FDM Vantage S — Technical data
The FDM Vantage S is the throughput-oriented version of the Vantage range; Stratasys itself explains the S as “speed”. It shares the 355 × 254 × 254 mm build volume of the Vantage i and X. According to the user guide it also handles PC-ISO and can be fitted with the TI speed option, which is said to build up to 125 percent faster depending on material, layer thickness and geometry. Compared with the SE, it lacks the larger chamber and automatic canister changeover. The S therefore suits users who need many small to medium parts quickly. Like all Vantage models it runs on 230 V at 20 A and is discontinued.
When buying used, check whether the TI option is actually enabled, since it is the main reason to choose this variant. Operating hours, the condition of the extrusion heads and chamber heating, the nozzle tips available for the materials you need, and whether material and spare parts can still be sourced also matter. A control PC with a suitable Insight version should be part of the package.
