Stratasys FDM Titan — Technical data

The FDM Titan, launched in 2001, was the system with which Stratasys took FDM beyond ABS into engineering thermoplastics: it started with polycarbonate, and PPSF, ABS and PC-ABS followed. Its heated build chamber measures 406 × 355 × 406 mm, and it is controlled with Insight software. Within the family, the Titan is the starting point: the Vantage range offered from 2003 was built on its platform, and only the Vantage SE matches its build volume. PPSF, with its high temperature and chemical resistance, is documented only for the Titan in the sources – a reason to prefer it over a Vantage. Stratasys now lists the machine in its legacy support section.

With a used Titan, first establish which materials it is set up for and whether the matching nozzle tips are included. Then check the oven heating, gantry axes and canister bays. Material canisters and spare parts for this generation can no longer be taken for granted, and a control PC with a working Insight version is essential. The machine needs a 230 V supply at 20 A.
