Stratasys F900 — Technical data
The F900 is the large-format system of the Fortus line, intended for producing large parts, fixtures and small series, for example in aerospace, automotive and defence. The build volume is 914 × 610 × 914 mm, and Stratasys specifies accuracy as ±0.089 mm or ±0.0015 mm/mm. The material list covers ABS grades, ASA, PC, PC-ABS, PC-ISO, Nylon 6, 12 and 12CF, PPSF, ULTEM 9085 and 1010 including the certified CG versions, Antero and VICTREX AM 200. In its support section Stratasys lists the machine together with the Fortus 900mc; ProtectAM can optionally harden the controller to DoD STIG requirements.
Used F900 or Fortus 900mc machines usually come from production environments. Key points are operating hours, service contract, the condition of heads, build chamber and canister system, and the tips available for the intended materials, especially ULTEM and Nylon 12CF. The machine weighs about 2.9 t and needs a 230 V three-phase supply at 40 A plus compressed air at 6–8 bar, so transport and installation take effort. On older machines, ask which hardware and software level is installed.
