Shining 3D Transcan C — Technical data

The Transcan C is a stationary structured-light scanner with turntable that combines two measuring ranges in one unit: inner 150 × 96 mm with 0.035 mm accuracy for small, detailed parts, and outer 300 × 190 mm with 0.05 mm for larger objects. Two 12 MP colour cameras capture geometry and texture at the same time, with light from a white LED. A single shot takes under three seconds, eight shots on the turntable without texture under 70 seconds. The turntable carries up to 10 kg. The brochure dates from 2022; the unit is still on the manufacturer's website but no longer in the menu.

Used, the Transcan C suits dental and jewellery models, small-batch inspection and cultural heritage because it delivers detailed colour data. Check the adjustment mechanism between the two measuring positions, the turntable and the camera optics. EXScan C must activate with the serial number. Calibration is manual with a calibration board, which must be complete and undamaged. The manufacturer specifies Windows 10, a Core i7-8700, 32 GB RAM and at least a GTX 1060 with 4 GB.
