Shining 3D OptimScan Q12 HD — Technical data
The OptimScan Q12 HD is the high-resolution variant of the Q12, designed for very small, delicate parts such as connectors, watch components, gears or dental parts. Housing and the four 12.3 MP cameras stay the same, but the fields are much smaller: 80 × 50 mm in the small and 220 × 150 mm in the large range. This brings point distance down to 0.02 or 0.054 mm, and Shining 3D quotes 0.004 mm or 0.01 mm accuracy. Depth of field is correspondingly shallow at 30 or 120 mm. A shot takes under a second and the head weighs 3.6 kg. The HD models are the newest in the Q series.
Used, the Q12 HD only makes sense if the parts to be inspected fit into the small fields; for larger components the standard Q12 is better suited. The matching calibration plates for both HD ranges must be included. Because of the shallow depth of field, a stable tripod or stand and a precise rotary table are important. Check optics for dust and ask for the calibration certificate. SHINING3D Inspect is optional; record in the purchase contract whether and which licences are transferred.
