Shining 3D FreeScan UE11 — Technical data
The FreeScan UE11 was the larger model of the first FreeScan UE generation and differs from the UE7 by having 22 instead of 14 crossed blue laser lines, plus a single line for hard-to-reach areas. This raises the rate to 1.35 million points per second. According to the 2022 brochure all other data are the same: up to 0.02 mm accuracy, 0.02 + 0.04 mm/m volumetric, 0.02 + 0.025 mm/m with the DigiMetric photogrammetry system, field of view 510 × 520 mm, working distance 500 mm at 300 to 700 mm scan depth, 750 g weight and USB 3.0 connection. The UE range was replaced by the UE Pro.
A used UE11 is a proven unit for inspecting cast, sheet metal and plastic parts, though noticeably slower than today's scanners. Identify the unit clearly as a UE11, for example by the line count in the live view. Ask the manufacturer whether current FreeScan versions support the scanner and whether the licence is transferable. Check laser diodes, cameras and cable. Calibration plate, markers and a current calibration report belong with it, and for DigiMetric measurements also scale bars and coded markers.
