Shining 3D FreeScan Trak ProW+ — Technical data
The FreeScan Trak ProW+ is an optical measuring system consisting of a tracker and a handheld laser scanner that works without reference markers on the part. The tracker follows the scan head over up to 8.6 m and covers a volume of up to 156 m³. Shining 3D quotes 0.023 mm accuracy, volumetric accuracy of 0.046 mm in the 12 m³ volume and 0.044 + 0.012 mm/m with the integrated video photogrammetry VPG. With 93 blue laser lines the scanner reaches 7.6 million points per second. Data is transferred wirelessly or via fibre optic. The system was introduced in autumn 2026 as the successor to the ProW and is aimed at quality assurance in automotive and mechanical engineering.
Used ProW+ systems will be rare for now; if you find one, ask for the acceptance report to VDI/VDE 2634 and a current calibration certificate. Tracker and scan head are calibrated as a pair and must be sold together. Fibre optic cable, router and power bank belong with it. According to the manufacturer the FreeScan licence is perpetual, but the transfer must be registered with support. Inspect the laser diodes and the tracker's camera lenses for scratches.
