Shining 3D FreeScan Omni Lite — Technical data
The FreeScan Omni Lite is the entry variant of the Omni series and, according to Shining 3D, shares the Omni's hardware: a standalone scanner with built-in computer, touchscreen, 93 crossed and 25 parallel blue laser lines and an infrared VCSEL for marker-free scans. The manufacturer's figures of 0.02 mm accuracy, 0.02 + 0.03 mm/m volumetric and 7.6 million points per second therefore apply to it too. The difference lies in the software: on-device inspection, the SHINING3D Inspect PC module, VPG video photogrammetry and AI feature recognition are not included with the Lite but can be added as modules. It works with a PC or standalone.
For buyers, a used Omni Lite is attractive if the required modules are already unlocked or will be bought later as needed. Ask the seller for the licence list and have the manufacturer confirm that everything is transferable. Four batteries run at once, so check the stock and the charger. Inspect touchscreen and laser windows for damage. Calibration plate and calibration report must be included, as well as markers for measurements without VPG.
