Shining 3D FreeScan Combo+ Wireless — Technical data
The FreeScan Combo+ Wireless is the top model of the wireless Combo series. It combines 93 crossed blue laser lines, 25 lines for detail and a single line with an infrared VCSEL for marker-free scans and, according to the manufacturer, reaches up to 9.1 million points per second at 180 frames per second. Accuracy is 0.02 mm, volumetric accuracy 0.02 + 0.03 mm/m, or 0.02 + 0.015 mm/m with built-in video photogrammetry. At 550 g it is lighter than the cabled Combo. Data travels via Wi-Fi 7, and three swappable batteries last up to two hours each.
On a used unit, the three batteries and the charging station are the main checks; spare batteries are a relevant cost. Test the wireless connection; a suitable router belongs with it. The calibration board and a calibration certificate to ISO 10360 should be available. FreeScan software has no subscription, but licence and firmware status depend on the serial number and must be transferred via support. To handle 9 million points per second, the processing PC needs a strong RTX graphics card.
