Shining 3D FreeScan Combo Wireless — Technical data

The FreeScan Combo Wireless is the smaller model of the wireless Combo series and, like the Combo+, has 50 laser lines. Like its cable-connected siblings it uses blue laser for measurement with markers and an infrared mode for fast marker-free scans, but it transmits data via Wi-Fi and runs on swappable batteries; cable operation is also possible. According to the manufacturer it reaches up to 7.34 million points per second, considerably more than the cabled model. Shining 3D gives accuracy, weight and battery life only for the larger Combo+ Wireless.

Anyone buying a used Combo Wireless should check the batteries above all, as runtime and charge cycles decide everyday usability. The package with batteries, charging station, router and cable must be complete. Confirm whether it is a Combo Wireless or a Combo+ Wireless via the rating plate and the laser line count in the software. The FreeScan licence is tied to the serial number and must be transferred. Ask for the calibration board and calibration report, and do a test scan in wireless mode.
