Shining 3D FreeScan Combo+ — Technical data

The FreeScan Combo+ is the more powerful model of the Combo series. Housing, weight of 620 g, infrared VCSEL projector and accuracy figures match the Combo; according to the manufacturer the difference lies solely in the number of laser lines and therefore speed: 50 instead of 26 crossed blue lines for fast scanning, plus 7 parallel lines and a single line. The Combo+ thus reaches up to 3.6 million points per second. Shining 3D gives accuracy as 0.02 mm and volumetric accuracy as 0.02 + 0.033 mm/m. Wireless versions have since joined the series, while the cable-connected Combo+ remains in the range.

With a used Combo+, have the variant confirmed, for example via the delivery note or the device info in the software, as it looks almost identical to the Combo. Check laser diodes and IR window and run a test scan on a calibration plate. The FreeScan software licence is perpetual but must be transferred. Calibration board, cable, case and markers should be complete. For the high point rate a PC with strong RTX graphics and at least 64 GB RAM makes sense.
