Shining 3D FabWash 2 — Technical data

The FabWash 2 is the washing station for Shining 3D's AccuFab printers. A magnetically coupled impeller moves the cleaning agent, parts up to 199 × 124 × 180 mm can be processed, and the unit releases parts from the platform automatically. The manufacturer lists alcohol above 75 %, IPA or water as cleaning agents, with at least 3 l required. Pre-programmed wash and dry cycles can be supplemented with custom profiles, and firmware and the material library arrive via Wi-Fi. According to the manufacturer it is compatible with the AccuFab-D1s, L4D/L4K, CEL and F1, partly via a platform adaptor.

When buying used, take the station with the adaptor that fits your own printer, otherwise its use is limited. Check the impeller drive and magnetic coupling, the tightness of container and lid, and the sensors for platform, container, pressure and emergency stop. Cured resin residue in the container suggests careless upkeep. Used solvent should not be shipped, and IPA requires ventilation at the site. Test in advance whether Wi-Fi updates still arrive, and ask for a demonstration of the automatic part release.
