Shining 3D FabCure 2 — Technical data
The FabCure 2 is Shining 3D's UV post-curing unit for dental prints. Thirty LEDs on the sides and floor cure at 385 to 405 nm with 70 W of LED power, and a ceramic heating module brings the chamber up to 60 °C. The curing space measures Ø 210 × 180 mm, the unit 290 × 290 × 367.5 mm at 10.5 kg. Curing profiles are stored for SHINING DENT resins, and third-party materials can be cured with custom programmes. Operation is via an OLED display and rotary knob. A variant, the FabCure N2, cures oxygen-free under nitrogen and is meant to give tack-free surfaces.
When buying used, check LED output first: individual failed LEDs are barely noticeable but cause uneven curing, so cure a test part and compare it with the manufacturer's specifications. Test the heating module and temperature sensors and check the chamber walls for dirt. Curing profiles are maintained via firmware, so a Wi-Fi update before handover shows whether the unit is still supported. For the N2 variant, clarify nitrogen connection and consumption. For medical devices, post-curing is part of the validated process and profile changes must be documented.
