Shining 3D EP-M250 — Technical data
The EP-M250 was the mid-size laser melting system in Shining 3D's EP-M range. It offers a 262 × 262 × 350 mm build volume and a 500 W fibre laser with a 70 µm focus at up to 8 m/s; layer thickness is between 20 and 100 µm, and the data sheet gives 5 to 20 cm³/h build rate. It operates under argon or nitrogen with no more than 100 ppm residual oxygen. The system needs 380 V three-phase power, measures 2,500 × 1,000 × 2,100 mm and weighs 1,500 kg. The line now belongs to Eplus3D, which no longer offers the EP-M250 and lists the EP-M260 in this class.
With a used EP-M250, documentation is decisive: laser hours and power measurements, replacement intervals for protective glass and filter cartridges, and calibration records for scanner and recoater. Whether one or two lasers are fitted should be clear from the paperwork, as manufacturer figures differ. Powder history covers the materials processed, along with the condition of build plate, recoater blade and sieving unit. Agree licence transfer, spare parts and service access directly with Eplus3D. The site needs three-phase power, inert gas and an explosion protection concept for powder handling.
