Shining 3D EinScan Trak — Technical data

The EinScan Trak is a wireless scanning system from Shining 3D's Professional line that combines an optical tracker with two scan heads: a spherical scanner for marker-free tracking and a light handheld scanner for conventional work with reference targets. It uses blue laser lines in three patterns, with up to 2.63 million points per second and a volumetric accuracy of up to 0.1 mm according to the manufacturer. The tracking volume reaches 15 m³. Data is sent to the computer over Wi-Fi 6, and a router is included. Technically it sits between the EinScan handheld scanners and the FreeScan Trak metrology systems.

When buying used, confirm that the tracker, both scan heads, router, batteries and chargers are complete, as individual components are hard to source separately. The EXScan Trak licence is tied to the hardware; agree the transfer to the new owner with the dealer or Shining 3D. The calibration board and a current calibration report should be included. Check battery runtime against the stated 5.5 hours and inspect the laser modules for even lines. Processing needs a powerful computer with a current NVIDIA graphics card.
