Shining 3D EinScan SP V2 — Technical data
The EinScan SP V2 is a desktop structured-light scanner with an automatic turntable, intended for small to mid-sized parts in design, education and prototyping. A white LED projector casts stripe patterns onto the object and two cameras evaluate them. Shining 3D quotes accuracy of up to 0.05 mm, a point distance of 0.17 to 0.2 mm and under one second per single shot; a full turntable revolution takes about 45 seconds. Without the turntable, objects up to 700 mm can be captured. Compared with the SE V2, the SP V2 adds alignment via markers and coded targets. The V2 series replaced the first SE/SP generation in 2024.
Used, the SP V2 is robust because it has no batteries and works stationary. Check that the turntable runs smoothly, the cable between scanner and turntable, the tripod and the calibration board. Without the calibration board the unit cannot be recalibrated. EXScan S is free, but the serial number must be activatable for the new owner. The scanner also runs on macOS computers. Objects larger than the turntable need markers, which are bought as consumables.
