Shining 3D EinScan SP — Technical data

The EinScan SP was the more accurate sister model of the EinScan SE in Shining 3D's first desktop generation and was replaced by the SP V2. Construction and turntable are the same, but according to the trade press the SP achieves accuracy of no worse than 0.05 mm and works faster: one shot in under four seconds, a turntable scan in under a minute. The software also supports global markers, allowing larger objects of over one metre to be captured free-standing. The single-shot field measures 200 × 150 mm and the working distance 290 to 480 mm. The 1.3 MP camera captures colour texture, and it connects via USB.

On the used market the SP is a solid unit for training, spare-part design and crafts. Check the turntable motor, the scan head mount and the calibration board, without which recalibration is impossible. EXScan S activation must be transferable; run a test on current Windows versions beforehand. Marker-based large scans need adhesive markers as consumables. The PC should have a dedicated graphics card and at least 32 GB RAM, as recommended in the manual.
