Shining 3D EinScan SE V2 — Technical data
The EinScan SE V2 is the entry model of Shining 3D's desktop series: a stationary structured-light scanner with a white LED and an automatic turntable. It is aimed at schools, makerspaces and small design offices that digitise parts occasionally. According to the manufacturer it achieves an accuracy of no worse than 0.1 mm at 0.17 to 0.2 mm point distance; one shot takes under a second, a turntable revolution under 45 seconds. Objects up to 700 mm can be captured without the turntable in several shots. Unlike the SP V2, it lacks alignment via markers and coded targets. The V2 generation replaced the first EinScan SE in 2024.
A used SE V2 is a low-maintenance unit without batteries or lasers. What matters are the turntable, connecting cables, power supply and calibration board, without which recalibration is impossible. A test scan of a low-contrast part shows whether projector and cameras work cleanly. EXScan S is a free download, but device activation must pass to the buyer. Anyone who may need higher accuracy later should go straight for the SP V2, as there is no upgrade path.
