Shining 3D EinScan Rigil — Technical data

The EinScan Rigil is a hybrid handheld scanner with a built-in computer that works standalone, wirelessly with a PC or via USB-C cable. For detail scans it uses blue laser lines, 25 + 25 crossed or 7 parallel, and an infrared VCSEL projector for fast marker-free capture of larger surfaces. Shining 3D quotes up to 4.8 million points per second and a volumetric accuracy of 0.04 + 0.06 mm/m in Laser HD mode, and 0.1 + 0.3 mm/m in IR mode at working distances up to 1.5 m. It is operated via a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and stores data on a 1 TB SSD. The Rigil is the larger model of the Rigil series, with the Rigil Lite below it.

When buying a used Rigil, make sure it is really the full version and not the Lite, as both look similar; storage size and laser line count tell them apart. The two replaceable batteries wear and their capacity should be tested. Device software and EXScan Rigil should be up to date, and the manufacturer account should be transferable. Ask for the calibration board and calibration report. PC mode calls for a current NVIDIA graphics card with plenty of video memory.
