Shining 3D EinScan Pro HD — Technical data

The EinScan Pro HD is a multi-purpose structured-light scanner that can be used handheld or on a tripod and turntable; its brochure dates from 2020. In handheld HD mode Shining 3D quotes up to 0.045 mm accuracy and 3 million points per second, in fast Rapid mode 1.5 million points at 0.1 mm, and 0.04 mm per shot when fixed. Volumetric accuracy with markers is 0.3 mm/m and the working distance 510 mm. The Color Pack adds texture and marker-free texture alignment, the Industrial Pack a turntable and tripod. The model ran alongside the Pro 2X V2; its page no longer appears in the menu.

Used units often come from schools and training workshops, including competition use. When buying, clarify which packs are included, as the Color Pack and Industrial Pack change usefulness and value considerably. Inspect projector and cameras for scratches and check the turntable works. The EXScan Pro licence and any extra software such as Solid Edge Shining 3D Edition belong to the serial number and should be transferred. Do not forget the calibration board. A PC with GTX 1080-class graphics and plenty of memory was recommended.
