Shining 3D EinScan Pro 2X Plus — Technical data

The EinScan Pro 2X Plus was the Pro 2X variant for larger objects (manual from late 2018). Compared with its sister model it has a larger single-shot field of 208 × 136 to 312 × 204 mm and a working distance of 510 mm instead of 400 mm. According to the manufacturer it achieves up to 0.05 mm handheld in HD mode, 0.1 mm in Rapid mode at 1.5 million points per second, and 0.04 mm per shot when fixed. With markers, volumetric accuracy is 0.3 mm/m. The scanner weighs 1.13 kg with cable and connects via USB 3.0. It was succeeded by the Pro 2X V2 generation and the Pro HD.

Used, the Pro 2X Plus is an affordable entry for body panels, moulds or sculptures, but requires patience with the software. Check whether the current EXScan Pro version still supports the unit and whether activation can be transferred. The PC requirements stated back then, with GTX 770 graphics, are barely adequate for newer software. Inspect projector, cameras and cable for damage and run a test scan with markers. A Color Pack or Industrial Pack adds noticeably to the value.
