Shining 3D Ceramix-Nano — Technical data
The Ceramix-Nano is a very small chairside unit from Shining 3D that prints crowns, bridges of up to three units, veneers, inlays and onlays from ceramic-filled resin and post-cures them in the same housing. Shining 3D calls the process APS (Adaptive Pneumatic Stereolithography): exposure is by DLP at 405 nm with 50 µm XY resolution, and peel force is adjusted pneumatically so that highly viscous materials can be processed. LumiCera comes pre-dosed in single-use capsules for up to three crowns, and a cycle typically takes eight to eleven minutes. At 2 kg and able to run from a power bank, the unit is portable.
Because the device is new, used units will mostly appear as demonstrators or returns. Check the automatic levelling, the integrated curing module and, where fitted, the optional oxygen-free curing module. With no resin vat there is no tank or film to wear, but operation depends entirely on the manufacturer's capsules, so clarify supply and shelf life in advance. The cloud platform for design and slicing requires a transferable account. According to the manufacturer, LumiCera is not yet certified under the EU MDR, so check its approval status before patient use.
