Russell Finex AMPro Lab — Technical data

The AMPro Lab is the smallest unit in Russell Finex's AMPro range: a benchtop sieving station for laboratories and small production that reconditions powder batches of one to four litres. Unlike the larger stations, it uses a non-vibrating sieve kept clear by the Vibrasonic ultrasonic system. Dosing, inclination angle and ultrasonic excitation are adjusted separately. Powder runs from bottle to bottle, with separate connections for feed, fines and oversize. Gas purging is provided; the University of Amsterdam purges with nitrogen and measures the oxygen level in order to sieve aluminium powder. The unit measures 274 × 674 × 1,000 mm, weighs 26 kg and runs on 230 V without compressed air.

Used, the Lab makes sense for anyone processing a few litres per batch without three-phase power or compressed air. Above all, check the ultrasonic transducer and generator, because without excitation the mesh quickly blinds with fine powders. Sieve meshes in the required aperture, seals and bottle adapters should come with the unit. After reactive powders, a cleaning record and details of the previous gas purging belong in the handover.
